Linda Berry

Linda has such a unique sound that she quickly made her mark with the California music scene and beyond about ten years ago.
Linda cut her teeth as a band frontwoman in the San Diego area with a band called Smokin' Jr. and most recently 6 and a half years fronting the very successful, January Berry Band. As a singer songwriter, Linda was nominated for an SDMA for their album " Chemistry 101" (January Berry Band).
Linda's biggest musical influences are Bonnie Raitt and a host of other blues greats of past and present: Susan Tedeschi, Samantha Fish, Beth Hart, Maria Muldaur, Etta James, Koko Taylor, to name a few.
Linda's soaring vocals, soulful energy and connection with the audience is what you can expect to witness when she hits the stage.
Joe Norwood
Guitar, Vocal
Joe has performed throughout the U.S. and Canada as a member of several touring bands. Performances include clubs, concerts, TV, and radio.
Joe has extensive studio experience with his own projects, and as a session guitarist. He has written over 40 songs. Joe’s many styles include blues, rock, funk, R&B, and Country.
While performing with Beyond Blue he wrote or co-wrote all the original songs and released 2 cds. Beyond Blues'
song “Make Me Sweat” was #1 on the Mp3.com, Blues Rock charts for 6 consecutive weeks.
Joe was co-music director for the stage play “Five Shades of Blues” Awards, Country Guitarist of the Year, California Country Music Association (San Diego area) 1996, and Master Blues Artist, San Diego Blues Hall of Fame, inducted 2016.
Joe’s diverse influences and years of experience make him a well rounded and exciting guitarist.
Virginia Norwood
Back Up Vocal, Percussion, Keyboard
Virginia began performing in bands at the age of 19, starting out in 80’s metal, then moving on to Rock, Country, Blues & R&B. Her roles included Lead & Backing vocals, Rhythm Guitar & Keyboard. With her husband and band mate, Joe Norwood, Virginia co-wrote and recorded 3 albums of originals and original arrangements. After receiving her AA and BA Degrees in Music, and studying vocal technique with several teachers, Virginia began teaching voice, and later opened Norwood Music Studios in Solana Beach, CA, where she continues to help singers develop their voices.
Virginia took a hiatus from performing to raise her daughter and run her busy vocal studio. She is excited to return to the stage with the Linda Berry Band.
Darko Petrovic
Bass
Darko Petrovic is a seasoned bass player with over four decades of experience, deeply rooted in the traditions of blues. His musical journey began in Serbia with the renowned blues band Dr. Project Point Blank, where he developed his signature groove-driven style and commanding stage presence.
After relocating to San Diego, Darko continued to expand his musical footprint, performing with a variety of local bands across multiple genres, including indie rock. His versatility, steady rhythm, and deep understanding of blues foundations have made him a sought-after collaborator in the Southern California music scene.
With a career spanning continents and styles, Darko brings authenticity, experience, and soul to every performance.
